“Your Destiny” is an interactive installation using original photomontaged tarot card, which reinterprets the traditional tarot image in a modern context. When the user first enters the installation, the backside of the tarot card will be shown on the screen, then the front side of the tarot card will be revealed as the visitor’s silhouette. This interactivity gives the viewer a feeling about their destiny and whether there is the possibility of manipulating it or not. My project will present image and sound in a form which responds to the presence and movement of the audience. To create this work I will employ programming technology for color and edge tracking with the camera. Still pictures of models and New York City will be combined to create new tarot cards in a modern style. They in turn will be combined with other elements such as typography and graphic shapes. The goal of this project is to explore the viewer’s destiny as they move and interaction with the tarot card.
