I selected sewing machine because it functions on multiple levels. It has movement, sound, and it also controlled by the user. My “hired-artist, the sewing machine, “will make my art, and whether I am there or not. So, I, the employee, can go out and do something else, i.e., my daily trivial stuff. It’s just like firing a nanny at home, and then going to work as a nanny. My thesis is about the functionality of artists in this society. Also, I want to give a new life to fiber art by providing interactivity and virtuality.
