Chia-Chien Mai

My thesis is a cut-outs, stop motion and collage style motion graphic presented in DVD format. The materials are still images, illustrations and videos. It tells a story about a sheep-faced man who has committed suicide and started a bizarre journey when he is in a near-death status. Through the issue of suicide and the near-death experience, I would like to explore the pressure and constraints experienced by people in modern society and imagine the freedom that people are yearning for.
