Thesis Title:
Halluci

Optical illusions occur when the images that we see are misinterpreted by the visual perception system. One engrossing category in this field is the impossible objects, in which there is an endless looping environment. Traditionally those entities could only exist in 2D world because they are physically inexistent. However we can represent them in either real physical world or computer 3D world by faking. The trick is viewing them in a specific angle. Therefore, those weird junction or overlapping parts will work perfectly. Once we change the angle, those absurd objects will become some other things which totally don’ make any sense.

This thesis is based on the recursion idea and developing a story which is a man trapped in a looping stairs and tries to escape from that. However, after he exits from the morass, he doesn’t realize that he is in another much bigger illusion world that he could never notice. The topic of the edge of hallucination is also been touched. This thesis is an animation piece, and will be represented in 3D form.
